The Howling Wolf Open Stages are located at CASA (230 – 8 Street South, Lethbridge, Alberta). Open Stages are once a month on the second Friday @ 7:00 pm in the meeting room at CASA from September to the end of May. They run until all participants are done (around 9:30 pm at the latest). Every participant is allowed a spot of 15 minutes duration. All forms of music are permitted. Amateurs and professionals alike are encouraged to take part, although you must hold a Lethbridge Folk Club membership or be a guest of a member. We provide a stage with all microphones, DI boxes , monitors and FOH speaker system. We ask for a $5.00 donation to help with the rent and utilities. All ages are encouraged to take part. Refreshments are available.
Howlin’ Wolf Open Stages provide a creative outlet for musicians & poets, and offer performers an ideal opportunity to hone their skills, learn songs, and meet other musicians. Outstanding local performers are often asked to open for the club’s major concerts. Admission is by donation ($5.00 suggested), although a current membership is required. All performers and folk club members are invited to either participate or simply listen. These are well attended, so be sure to arrive early! For more information, contact Morris Soenen at 381-4449.
